Where Can I Help?

Our helpers are the face of everything we do at the York City Campus of the Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene. Their love for people and longing for them to know Jesus is what keeps the York City Campus the great place that it is.

We have a wide range of opportunities for you to help with your talents, skills and passion – from food service, greeters to ushers, music, children’s helpers, teen helpers and many areas that will fit your skills. Every position is important as we work to make a difference in the lives of people in our city.

Neighborhood Outreach

The York City Campus is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the community and it extends around the world. We are active in helping our community with basic living items. According to Luke 4:18-19, Jesus’ mission was to free the oppressed and heal the blind. He wanted to see changed lives as a result of His help. Jesus had a balance between meeting physical and spiritual needs. He met physical needs but He also taught truth (Matt. 4:23).

Music

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many people get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. These helpers are an important part of the ministry of the York City Campus, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Welcome Host & Ushers

The Welcome Host and Usher team’s at the York City Campus fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The ministry team’s are a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of the York City Campus. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in video and audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook and Twitter feed for additional church communication.

Hospitality Café

Hospitality Café helpers are vital to the York City Campus in that they are responsible for making sure guest and congregants are ready to hear the Word of God with refreshments.

Urban Student Ministry

Help with current youth programs while working with the youth and adult leaders to maintain age appropriate activities for all youth that promote community through fellowship, fun, and spiritual growth.

Children’s Ministry

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, the York City Campus holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service at 10:30 am. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church ministry assistant’s have an endless stream of creativity–ranging from object lessons, to games and fun events.

Celebrate Recovery

Our passion is to fellowship and celebrate God´s healing power in our lives through the 8 Recovery Principles. Our helpers participate in many areas on Thursday nights to fulfill the recovery purpose of a persons life.

Transportation Team

The York City Campus provides transportation for members and guests to and from church and other events. Our ministry is equipped with a 15-passenger van and two passenger busses. Our goal is to provide courteous and professional service to people. Drivers License or CDL are necessary.
