Our Faith Community

TheYork City Campus consists of a group of people from a variety of backgrounds who have one thing in common…Jesus Christ. The church exists to serve the community and we are always glad to welcome new visitors. Please feel to join us for fellowship at any of our gatherings.

A Community of Concern: Jesus did not leave us explicit details regarding church structure or the ways in which we should care for one another, but clearly did emphasize the necessity of intimate caring relationships and unity of purpose. His commands call for intimate day-to-day contact and sharing. Jesus draws us together in himself. He creates Christian community (John 15: 12-14, Acts 17:28a)… If you’re interested in community life, come and join us as we build A Place to Belong.

A Discovery of Faith: No matter where you currently stand in relation to God, there is always more to learn, more to experience, and more to enjoy about Him.

Non Traditional Church: In an effort to eliminate any roadblock to God, we are rethinking what church means-challenging every thought and assumption about what church should look like and questioning why we do what we do. We are redefining church in order to create a fresh expression of God’s love for the people in York.

Advocacy: We will act for those who cannot because we ought to and we can. Throughout his ministry, Jesus Christ sought justice and mercy for the outcast and oppressed (socially, economically, and ethnically) and we are called to no less.

We are A Place for Relationships, A Place of Learning, A Place for Enrichment, A Place for Service and A Place for Worship.

PASTORAL TEAM:

Our pastoral team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under Jesus Christ. In a world where there’s so much pain and cynicism, it can be hard to accept that there are people out there who just want to help. But if you’re hurting, if you don’t know where to turn, if you want someone to talk to, talk to us. We’re not here to sell you anything. There’s no hidden motive. We just want to be there for you. You can call us to talk about your problems, or whatever it is you’re struggling with. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word.
